  1. Tracking Views Spikes AFTER Title/Thumbnail have been switched to the WINNER

The main goal of ab testing older videos is to cause a measurable spike in views and give those videos a second life. Most of the time those spikes don't actually happen while the test is running but within 60 days of setting a winner. Right now there isn't a great way for me to check the impact that the tests I've run are having. I have to go check the analytics of each video I tested manually and check how views are looking for that video. It would be amazing if you guys built a feature that helped monitor how views are fluctuating after test has run and the winner has been set. If there's a measurable increase in views I get an alert. That ways I don't have to go check every video I tested manually to see if the tests are having an impact.

  3. Set winning thumbnail/title as soon as it's flagged as a "clear winner"

Set the winning thumbnail/title live if it's a clear winner, and end test to avoid testing low performing thumbnail/tiles for longer. If the test duration is long, similar to what Tubebuddy has once the test hits "statistically significant" the test ends to reserve performance of the winning thumbnail/title.

  4. Test names

In web a/b testing tools you could name your tests, so your team can easily find it. Adding this to TT could also help with that.

  6. Opportunity ranking

Based on market trends, it would be awesome to highlight videos that have the biggest opportunity to improve performance with packaging tweaks,

  7. Metric-based tests should use LOWER threshold with CTR%

You have an option that allows you to swap to the next combination when the CTR% rises above a certain threshold. That should be the other way around... let the tool swap to the next combination when the CTR falls BELOW a certain threshold. It seems to me that people would want to move on if the current combination is doing poorly on CTR.

  8. Leave "Removed Variation" title/thumbs data on test results page

Love the way we can remove certain variations during a test, but when removed we lose the inisghts into what titles or thumbnails did poorly. This makes reviewing past tests less informative as it's good to know which titles really sucked too. It would be nice to leave them in the test results page but shade them red or tag them as "removed" and not have them in the rotation any longer. This would provide beneficial information to other team members and future reviews of past tests.

  9. Ability to name tests and maybe tags

Similar to how you can name tests in google ads like "ad set - testing blue bg" make finding specific tests easier

  10. Log of title changes on a video

When I have finished tests in my Past list, they have a green bubble to indicate that they are done. Then I change the title to the best perfroming. When hours or a day later I come back to my Past list, that same test may still have a green bubble and I go into it, and am not sure anymore if I've already changed it to the best title. There's no indication what the current title is or a log which indicates when I changed the title/thumbnail trough TT. So maybe a log of ome sorts: date & time: created video with original title and thumbnail date & time: changed title to ... trough TT date & time: changed title on youtube date& time: change to .. on TT

  12. Webhook notification of test winner

Ability to be notified of the winning title selected so that we can then run automations based on that winning title to post the new winning video and title onto our other social media channels.

  13. CTR Breakdown by Trafic Source (Browse Features VS Suggested)

A separation between "views from suggested" and "views from browse features". There is a big difference between Click Through Rate between both. But in our test results is only shows the Combined Click Through Rate. Which means I could be picking thumbnail A in the following example, while thumbnail B was the better variant: Thumbnail A: Impressions from Browse: 100,000 Impressions from Suggested: 5,000 Total Impressions 105,000 CTR: 5% Thumbnail B: Impressions from Browse: 5,000 Impressions from Suggested: 100,000 Total Impressions 105,000 CTR: 4% I write that Thumbnail B is the better variant in this example, because Suggested CTR is always much lower than CTR from browse.

  15. A subtler look for the YT Studio Integration

The eye-gouging purple popup that covers important data in YouTube studio might be fantastic for testing purposes but it is in the way for actually using YouTube studio. This is something users see hundreds of times so a subtler, softer look that not in your face is the right design choice. I would do something like my image below with an option to "pin" so the full status could be always visible. But – and that's important – WITHOUT all the engineering design: No bright-colored backgroundNo central stage positionNo full context unless needed This is a non-functional element & non-interactive status element. Look at how similar status elements are designed in other apps – subtly & quietly sitting in the corners. PS: I've taught over 300 engineers, so I can say 'engineering design'. Happy to assist if you need help. PPS: The image is my local CSS adjustment – open it full screen though, it's really not clear in the preview
